This feature will allow businesses to check those recent customer calls that have been triggered by search results.
Google is all set to notify the business owners about this upcoming feature through GMB. This introduction of call history in Google My Business will be an early stage of development for many businesses. Whenever this new feature gets available, business owners will be notified. For convenience, there’s a help page from where people are learning more about this upcoming feature.
How does Google My Business Call History feature work?
After the launch of the Google my business call log feature, a “Calls” tab will be automatically get added to your Google My Business app. The main function of this Calls tab will be to log calls from customers who have clicked on the “Call” button via the GMB business profile on your business listing. Point to remember, this feature will not be available on the Google My Business browser version. Also, you can only view the call history from the ‘Google My Business’ app as there’s no way to do it. You will not find this feature on the browser. In this call history feature, both answered calls and missed calls will be logged.
Choosing In or Out of Call History feature
It depends on the business owner whether they want to make use of this feature or not. The main thing to consider is that it disguises the business’s actual phone number. So, there’s a need that Google creates a forwarding number for customers to use instead of the number on the business profile. The business owners will have the liberty to choose this feature as per their choice.
